Who we are

A bit about us

You’re our main focus, not your money, that’s just what makes things possible. That’s why we ask lots of questions, and sometimes even challenge you. We’re not your typical financial planners, we like to get to know our clients, so we can create a financial plan that enables you to enjoy your life the way you want.   

For us, it’s not about money, it’s about you. That said, here’s a bit about us.

Jessamy Walker
Chartered Financial Planner 

I’m the number cruncher.

Money personality: Primarily Spontaneous with a contrasting Security coming second.

As the lead Financial Planner in the office, I’ll be the one asking the searching questions, working out a strategy and creating your Financial Plan, which I’ll explain in clear jargon-free English.

I’ve been a Financial Planner for more than 20 years and set up Brown Dog Financial Planning because I believed numbers should work to give people the lifestyle they want, not the other way around.   

Outside the office

I’ve lived in Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and Suffolk, and am happiest outdoors, ideally on safari. When I’m at home, it’s with my partner, Bramble – the original brown dog, her friends and my horses.

Client Relationship Manager

I’m your go-to contact.

I’m your first point of contact at Brown Dog Financial Planning. I’ll be here to help answer any questions you may have, organise meetings and ensure Jessamy has all that she needs when you get here. 

I have a strong attention to detail and support Jessamy and the team with administration, researching and gathering as much information as possible, to enable Jessamy to create your tailored financial plan. It’s a team effort here!

As the Practice Manager for Brown Dog Financial Planning, I’m the one that keeps all the processes and operations running smoothly in the background, hopefully making it easier for everyone else to do their jobs.

I’ve worked in Financial Services for over 20 years in a variety or roles from mortgage advice to colleague engagement and a lot of operations and project management in-between.

Outside the office

I love living in rural Wiltshire with my partner, daughter, dog and 2 cats. I have recently undertaken a voluntary role with St. John Ambulance as an Event First Aider which is both interesting and rewarding in equal measure.
